Humble Bundle 3 tops $1 million with pay-what-you-want model

TheHumble Bundle 3 (opens in new tab)was launched a few days ago (and still has another six to go) and is succeeding wonderfully – just like the previous bundles did.

The bundle of indie games offers six games for a price that you can name yourself and comes with Crayon Physics Deluxe, Cogs, VVVVV, Hammerfight, And Yet It Moves, and the recently added Steel Storm. So far, the bundle has generated over $1.1 million to be split between the game devs, the humble bundle site, and several non-profits. That puts Humble Bundle 3 on track to be even more successful than the first two.

You can choose how your donation is split, and if you spend more than the average (currently hovering around $4.75) you’ll receive all the games from Humble Bundle 2 as a gift.

As of today, over 200,000 people who donated to Humble Bundle 3 – Windows users were the stingiest. PC gamers using Microsoft%26rsquo;s operating system tend to offer only around $3.85, while Linux users are willing to pay $11.66.
