Thats My Boy review

Adam Sandler stumbles into his own movie about 10 minutes into That’s My Boy , and that’s where the fun ends.

First, there’s a sharp, acid-tongued prologue where his (barely) teenaged self impregnates his high-school teacher and becomes a media sensation.

It seems smart for a Sandler film, a mean bit of right-on satire jabbing at our scandal-crazed culture. Then the film begins.

Sandler’s son has grown up to be schlubby go-getter Andy Samberg. Sandler, broke, stupid and mumbling away in a ridiculous accent, needs his help.

They’re estranged. Tired antics ensue.
