En Masse Entertainment, the developer behind the gorgeous action MMORPG, Tera Online, announced today that they are planning to merge their existing servers as populations have dipped below levels they consider acceptable.
Tera currently has eleven servers, which will be merged together to form three highly-populated super-servers. That said, the game’s disparate communities will still have room to thrive. The four PvP servers are being merged together, and will remain separate from the more casual players. The game’s six PvE servers will also be merged into one. While the only remaining role-playing server will stay separate.
Tera has fallen on hard times lately, and its developer has been hit with layoffs in the wake of the troubled title. That said, they have continued to support Tera, and just introduced PvP battlegrounds (opens in new tab) last month.
The merger is set to commence on September 18.
