Radioman review

Radioman – ‘Radio’ to his friends and assorted film stars – is the formerly homeless New York movie obsessive who’s worked with the likes of Ben Stiller, Matt Damon and Martin Scorsese.

This rough-edged doc shines a light on his accidental cameo-based screen career, built from a disarming toothy-grinned openness, a mysterious knowledge of what’s shooting and when, and a brazen attitude towards the craft services van.

Everyone from Meryl Streep to George Clooney spares time to gush about his real-ness, though the film touches too lightly on Radio’s awkward novelty status, and the brief, necessarily one-sided nature of his celebrity relationships.
