25 years later, and Home Alones Kevin McAllister is still traumatised

There’s a good chance that a number of families will be firing up Home Alone once again over the next few days; the 1990 film is a bonafide Christmas classic, and Macaulay Culkin will always be best known as the film’s kid hero Kevin McAllister who fended off two home invaders with nothing but a variety of home-made booby traps.

However, it appears that time has not healed the psychological trauma of those events…at least according to Culkin, who reprises the character 25 years later in the first episode of new web series :DRYVRS. Watch it below…

In Home Alone, the danger Kevin finds himself in is mostly played for laughs. That makes this is an interesting, if slightly strange look into what might have happened to a young 8-year-old kid who went through those events, and apparently it’s led to PTSD. Still, there’s no denying the nostalgia triggered by the numerous references to the film. Merry Christmas, ya filthy animals…
