Superhero MMO, DC Universe Online is coming to Xbox One

Do you have room in your life for a never-ending battle between impossibly powerful beings that isn’t Smite, Elder Scrolls Online, Neverwinter or episodes of Ru Paul’s Drag Race? Then boy do we have the story for you.

To celebrate its fifth(!) anniversary, superhero/villain MMO, DC Universe Online is finally making its way to Xbox One. Thanks to developer, Daybreak’s recent split with Sony (the MMO specialist used to be known as Sony Online Entertainment), the more Microsoft-aligned of us can now enjoy the fruits of its labour. The game’s set to arrive this Spring.

While the PC and PS4 versions will feature cross-play from this month, the Xbox One version will not – and you can’t transfer existing characters to the Xbox One game.

Perhaps most interesting is what this means for other Daybreak games. While we knew the phenomenally successful Day Z clone, H1Z1 was coming to PS4 this year, could this mean it’ll come Xbox-wards, too? And what of large-scale shooter, Planetside 2, which has been sitting pretty in the PSN store for some time? We’ve gotten in touch, and will let you know any further developments.
