Announced last month, a Resident Evil 0 HD remaster (opens in new tab) is on its way to PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC. Koji Oda, director of the Gamecube original, will reprise his role for this new iteration of the horror prequel, while Tsukasa Takenaka will produce.
We knew when Resident Evil 0 HD was announced that it would arrive sometime in early 2016, but other details were as scarce as ink ribbons and green herbs. Now, however, there’s a trailer:
Much like the recent Resident Evil HD (opens in new tab) remaster, Resident Evil 0 HD will feature enhanced graphics, improved audio, widescreen support and the option for a more modern control scheme. Otherwise, it seems to be the same tale that was told in 2002, with STARS rookie Rebecca Chambers and convict Billy Coen attempting to survive multiple encounters with the horrors of Umbrella’s bio-weapons.
It will not – and this is my assumption here – come with a spare pair of pants to help you through the game’s frights.
