Your PS4 “Whats New” section just got a little more Twitter-like

If you’ve ever wanted to track when Sony Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida watches Netflix, the most recent PS4 system update will make your dreams come true. PS4 update 3.10 adds the ability to “follow” verified PSN accounts, making their activities show up on the “What’s New” section of the dashboard.

At the moment there aren’t too many “verified accounts of people and companies that are associated with games” to follow. But now that the feature has value beyond checking to see whether your Destiny (opens in new tab) teammate really is Adam Boyes, VP of publisher and developer relations at PlayStation, and not just some sick pretender, Sony will presumably start handing out more checkmarks of authenticity.

Reddit user BreakinBad has assembled a helpful list (opens in new tab) of verified accounts so you can get started. Just search for one of those PSN profiles, hit the “Follow” button, and their activity should begin to appear in your “What’s New” feed, right alongside your 500th “Connor played Destiny” notification. Sorry about that.
