Snake may be known as The Legendary Soldier in the world of Metal Gear Solid, but it turns out he’d also make quite the Sole Survivor in Fallout 4 (opens in new tab). A mod (opens in new tab) from Akiba91 will let you play as the man they call “Boss,” as well as his questionably-clad companion, Quiet.
The mod requires Armorsmith Extended (opens in new tab) (another mod, this one by Gambit77), as the entire body of Snake and Quiet are treated in-game as if they were pieces of armor. The same goes for the duo’s faces – as far as Fallout 4 is concerned, those are just incredibly realistic masks you’re wearing, so don’t expect expressions to show through.
It looks like Snake escaped Konami shortly after his creator Hideo Kojima made his exit (opens in new tab). It’s too bad he couldn’t have ended up somewhere nicer than the end of the world, but I don’t think Fallout players will be complaining. For accurate Quiet roleplaying, I think it goes without saying to make sure you have MacCready’s Killshot perk.
